About Collections

HSI has served the healthcare industry exclusively since 1963. Initially created as a service to the members of the North Dakota Healthcare Association, HSI now provides collections for all types of healthcare providers, including clinics, dentists, chiropractors and optometrists.

While HSI is largely independent of the North Dakota Hospital Association (NDHA), this affiliation does provide access to resources not available to other collection agencies. Having access to NDHA staff, who are involved in a broad range of healthcare issues, gives HSI a strong foundation of information and skills to better serve our clients.

License

HSI is licensed by the North Dakota Department of Banking and Financial Institutions. HSI is also licensed by the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

Affiliations

American Collectors Association (ACA). This association promotes the general welfare of the collection profession, regulates practices, prescribes ethics, enforces proper conduct amongst its members and coordinates activities of State unions.

Healthcare Client Services Program: a division of ACA. HCSP keeps members informed and educated on issues concerning the collection of medical debts.

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). This membership provides education resources and networking for individuals involved in the fiscal operations of medical facilities and affiliates.
